Art party decorations: paint-splat backdrop, easels and palette tableware, with activities and a $70-150 budget.
Art Party Decorations: Ideas, Colours and Checklist
Quick answer: An art party uses bright primary colours plus black and white with paint-splat backdrops, easels, palette tableware and crayon decor. Budget $70–150 for 12 children, and make the craft table the centrepiece.
Key takeaways
- Palette: red, yellow, blue + black/white.
- 6 core items: paint-splat backdrop, easels, palette tableware, crayon decor, aprons, craft table.
- Budget $70–150 for 12 children ($6–12.50 per child).
- Use washable paint and aprons — always.
What decorations do you need for an art party?
You need six core items: a paint-splat or canvas backdrop, small easels, palette-print tableware, oversized crayon and paintbrush decor, aprons and a craft table. The craft table is the activity, so build the party around it.
What colours should an art party be?
Use the three primary colours — red, yellow and blue — with black and white as the base. Primaries signal “art” instantly; add black and white so the bright colours have something to sit against.
